Refund Policy
Last Updated: 28 July 2026
This policy explains when we refund a payment, when we do not, and how a refund is actually paid. It forms part of our Terms and Conditions, and section 10 of those Terms describes the payment mechanics it relies on.
Kopyon is paid for in cryptocurrency, and that shapes everything below. A crypto payment cannot be reversed. A refund is therefore not a cancelled charge but a new transaction that we send by hand, to an address you give us. That is slower and more manual than a card refund, so the consequences are spelled out below rather than left for you to find out afterwards.
Two separate things can entitle you to your money back: the law of the country where you live, and our own guarantee. They are not the same and they carry different conditions, so we describe them separately. Where both apply, whichever gives you more is the one that counts.
1. How Paying for Kopyon Works
Your plan is a prepaid period, not a subscription in the usual sense. You pay for a fixed number of days and the plan expires at the end of them. There is no auto-renewal, and we do not store a payment instrument, so we have no way to charge you again.
There is nothing to cancel. Because nothing renews, stopping requires no action and no notice. If you do nothing, your paid access simply ends. We send reminders 7 days, 3 days, and 1 day before expiry, and paid features continue for a 5-day grace period afterwards before your account moves to the Free plan.
Stopping costs nothing and is never refused. Any refund question is therefore only ever about a period you have already paid for, never about escaping a future charge.
The Free plan is permanent and fully functional. It is not a trial that expires. You can copy a trader on it indefinitely without paying, which is the honest way to find out whether Kopyon suits you.
2. Your Statutory Rights
If you are a consumer, the law of the country where you live may give you a right to cancel an online purchase within a set period and receive your money back. That right exists independently of this policy, and nothing here restricts it.
In the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, you generally have 14 days from the day the contract is concluded to withdraw from it, without giving any reason. Because we have no auto-renewal, each period you buy is a new contract, so a new 14-day period begins each time you pay, including on renewals and upgrades.
Other countries may give you similar or better rights. Section 19 of our Terms and Conditions preserves any protections granted by the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live.
We do not apply the conditions of our own guarantee to a statutory right. The conditions in section 3 govern our voluntary guarantee only. If you are exercising a right the law gives you, they do not apply to you, and we will not refuse you on the basis of them.
Any deduction is proportionate, and only where the law allows one. Where we may charge for the part of the period you have already had, we charge that amount and refund the rest. Where we may not, we refund in full. We calculate it on elapsed calendar days against the full period you bought, measured to the day you told us you were cancelling, and we will show you the calculation.
3. The Kopyon Money-Back Guarantee
This section is our own promise, not something the law requires of us.
We will refund your first paid period in full, within 14 days of paying, if you have not copied more than one trader since your payment. No proportionate deduction, no administrative fee.
We have written that condition deliberately narrowly. Copying a single trader is what the Free plan already allows, so the test is simply whether you used capacity that you actually paid for. We do not condition the guarantee on the number of positions you opened, or on any other line in the plan comparison, because those limits are not enforced by the software. Refusing a refund over a limit that never restricted you would be indefensible, and we would rather say so than write a condition we could quietly hide behind.
It applies to your first paid period only. Renewals, upgrades, and later purchases are outside the guarantee, though your statutory rights continue to apply to every one of them.
It is in addition to your statutory rights, and never a substitute for them. Where this guarantee gives you less than the law does, the law prevails. If the guarantee does not cover you, that says nothing about whether a statutory right does.
4. What We Do Not Refund
Upgrades. Upgrading charges the new plan's full price immediately and converts the unused value of your old plan into bonus days, rounded down to whole days. Any remainder of less than a day is not carried over. There is no cash proration and no refund of the plan you were on.
Downgrades. A downgrade takes effect at the end of your current period. You are not charged on the day you request it, you keep your current plan until it expires, and you receive no refund or credit for the difference.
Periods that have already run. Once a period has elapsed, or lapsed unpaid after the grace window, there is nothing to refund.
Trading losses. Kopyon places orders in your own exchange account according to settings you choose, and the outcome of those trades is yours. A losing period, a trade you did not expect, a position closed at a bad price, or a copied trader who performed badly are not grounds for a refund of your subscription. Section 9 of the Terms and Conditions sets out the risks in full.
Fees charged by anyone other than us. Exchange trading fees, funding payments, and blockchain network fees on your original payment are not ours to return.
Downtime and failures outside our control. Exchange outages, blockchain congestion, and infrastructure failures are covered by section 13 of the Terms and Conditions rather than by a refund.
Account deletion. Deleting your account does not entitle you to a refund of a period you have already paid for, and does not by itself start a refund request.
5. Payments That Went Wrong
These are corrections rather than refunds, and none of the conditions in section 3 applies to them.
Underpayment. If your transfer arrives short of the invoice total, the plan does not activate. This usually happens when the exchange rate moves while your transfer is confirming. Your funds are not lost. Contact us with the invoice number and we will either credit the difference or return what you sent.
Duplicate payment. If you pay the same invoice twice, the second payment is not credited automatically. Contact us and we will refund it or apply it to your next period, whichever you prefer.
A payment that never activated your plan. If a payment settled on-chain and your account was not upgraded, that is our problem to fix, and we will either activate the plan or return the money.
An expired invoice. An unpaid invoice expires after 60 minutes. If you paid one after it expired, contact us; a settled payment is honoured even when the invoice has lapsed.
6. How to Ask for a Refund
The quickest routes are the chat widget on this site and in the application, or an email to [email protected]. A person reads every request. There is no automated refund button anywhere in the application, so do not go looking for one.
If you are exercising a statutory right, any clear statement is enough. You do not have to use a particular channel or a particular form of words. Telling us unambiguously that you are cancelling is sufficient, and the date you tell us is the date we work from.
To let us deal with your request without a round trip, include the invoice number from your billing history, and a USDT receiving address together with the network it is on.
7. How an Approved Refund Is Paid
In USDT, for the US dollar value shown on the invoice. Prices are set in US dollars and refunded on the same basis, so you receive the dollar value you paid rather than the quantity of coin you sent. If the coin has moved in the meantime, that difference is not something we can return or recover. If you would rather be refunded in the coin you originally paid with, tell us when you ask and we will do that instead where we can.
As a new transaction, to an address you give us. We cannot return funds to the wallet you paid from, because we never receive or store it. Payments reach us through our processor, and the sending wallet is not information we hold.
The address you give us is the only address we will send to. Check it, and check the network. A refund sent to a wrong address, or on a network the address cannot receive, is unrecoverable, and we cannot reverse it or send a second one. This is the same risk you take when you pay us.
We pay the network fee. You receive the full invoice value in USDT, not the value less our cost of sending it.
Your paid access ends when the refund is sent. Your account moves to the Free plan.
Your open positions are not closed by a refund. They remain open in your own exchange account and become yours to manage. Kopyon stops mirroring exits for traders you can no longer copy under the Free plan, so check your positions before you ask for a refund, and close anything you do not intend to keep running.
8. How Long It Takes
Every refund is prepared and sent by hand, so it is slower than an automated card refund.
We aim to confirm whether your request is approved within 3 business days, and to send an approved refund within 7 business days of receiving a valid receiving address. Where the law of the country where you live requires a shorter period, that shorter period applies instead, and we will meet it.
Confirmation on the blockchain is usually quick but is not ours to control. Once we have sent the transaction, its speed depends on the network.
9. If You Are Not Satisfied
Tell us first, and tell us plainly. Complaining costs nothing and does not require you to use any particular form. Write to [email protected] or use the chat widget, and we will respond.
Give us 30 days before starting proceedings, as section 19 of the Terms and Conditions asks. Most disagreements about a payment turn out to be a misunderstanding about which period an invoice covered.
Nothing in this policy limits rights you have under the mandatory consumer law of the country where you live, including any right to complain to a consumer protection authority in that country.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the service or the law changes. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page.
A change never applies retrospectively to a payment you have already made. The version of this policy in force on the day you paid is the one that governs that payment.
For material changes, we will give you at least 30 days' notice by email or in the application before they take effect.
