Use case

Copy-trading bots

Follow traders on any supported exchange and mirror their positions in your own account. The stream tells you the moment a position opens, grows, shrinks or closes, so your bot only has to place the order.

15 sources support it
Node.js
const ws = new WebSocket("wss://api.kopyon.com/v5/stream?apiKey=" + process.env.KOPYON_KEY);

ws.onopen = () =>
  ws.send(JSON.stringify({
    type: "subscribe",
    source: "bybit-copy-trading",
    topic: "positionEvents",
    traderId: process.env.TRADER_ID,
  }));

ws.onmessage = async (message) => {
  const frame = JSON.parse(message.data);
  if (frame.type !== "events") return;
  for (const { event, symbol, side, size } of frame.data.events) {
    // Your exchange client: scale the trader's size to your own account.
    await mirror({ event, symbol, side, size: size * RATIO });
  }
};
How it works

Three steps

1. Pick traders

Rank them with traders and check them with performance and positionHistory.

2. Subscribe

One positionEvents subscription per trader. The API polls the exchange for you.

3. Mirror

Each event carries the full position, so you size your order from it and place it.

The free tier is 10,000 requests a month. That is enough to build a whole integration and test it against live data before you pay anything.
